Scott is a BBQ connoisseur and the co-author of “The Heart of Dixie Glove Box Guide to BBQ”, “The Peach State Glove Box Guide to BBQ”, and “The Palmetto State Glove Box Guide to BBQ.” The three book series represents the comprehensive guides to barbecue and barbecue restaurants in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Furthermore, considered a national authority on the subject, Scott appears in numerous articles and documentaries about barbecue. As a Dale Carnegie instructor, Scott taught many topics including goal setting, stress management, public speaking, team building, innovative thinking, individual empowerment, memory skills, human relations, sales management, creative problem solving, and leadership to name but a few. Scott is a graduate of Emory University and remains a student of world travel. As a connoisseur of epic travel and adventures, he has many uniquee and wild stories to share.
Scott Walton is president of S. Andrew Walton Investment Planning, founded in 1999 with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help people better plan for life’s events. While relocating his practice to the historic Rosedale Community in Homewood, Alabama, Scott realized while restoring the Montgomery building in historic Roasdale, that many benefits of “Green Building” and made a commitment to educate Alabama about sustainable concepts.
Scott created a 501 (c) 3 foundation to promote social, economic, and environmental practices and inspire people to “Green” action! To date, his organization won three humanitarian awards, received several grants, has met personally with an estimated 10,000 people and exposed to over 1 million people through local and national media.
