Mark Jackson, a 18-year veteran of the teleconferencing industry is CEO, Chairman, and founder of Moreson Conferencing, Inc., one of the premier teleconference service providers in North America and is currently implementing the world’s first true international conference call network. A candidate for United States Congress in 1994, Mark has always been an advocate of community engagement, working to create stronger communities. While serving on numerous Boards, he also helps non-profits succeed in fulfilling their missions. In addition, his community commitment extends to “The Prayer Call,” a weekly, non-denominational, international conference call taking place every Friday morning since 1996. Over the years, Federal and State agencies recognized Mark’s many contributions to international trade, telecommunications, and community support. The Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce nominated Mark for the 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year award, and he won the 2005 Small Business Person of the Year award. Mark serves as a member of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Business Advisory Board and the United States Commerce Department’s International Advisory Board. In September 2008, the University of Alabama in Birmingham Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures named him as an Inaugural Member of its Honor Roll for Excellence in Foreign Languages and international Engagement.
